Safiuchi means “Pure Naked” in Swahili.

Join us for the 'In the Nude of Art' exhibition opening celebrating artist Safiuchi's newest collection and her artist in residency at WOW Gallery! During Safiuchi's residency you'll have the opportunity to explore Safiuchi's latest artworks and participate in a series of engaging events and facilitating community learning workshops that highlights indigenous practices of Native and Black American cultures. Safiuchi passionately incorporates celebrating identity through her paintings and artistic creations. The Collection Story: ‘In the Nude of ART’

This 14 unique art piece collection, is a true reflection of my imagination at work, leaving my marks on the canvas and attempting to paint my belief that you are the composer of your life’s music.

Why do we play the scripts produced by others? Falling in love with your purest form is the first secret to happiness. Art together with music helped me to wash out the dust from my soul, it aims to shift the way people think about the world and symbolizes inception in the way beauty lies. Manifest the world. You are different, not less. 

"With faith to a pure heart, I strive to convey my stance by using black-and-white contrast in every piece. It’s like an eminent act of valor which is to BE and to own all of who you are – without apology or excuses. Remember— life is a song; we each get to write our own lyrics, in our own environment in our own way."
