DR. PAMELA REEVES
Dr. Pamela Reeves is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) with extensive experience in crisis intervention and trauma, specializing in supporting survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking, while also serving as an Associate Faculty member at National University and a Clinical Supervisor for various agencies and colleges. With a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Dr. Reeves employs an eclectic and integrative treatment approach, offering psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups, and provides workshops and consultation for trainees and interns.
My Story
Dr. Reeves is Founder and CEO of her 2 companies : Diamond Cultural Family Therapy & Consulting Center, P.C. and Multicultural Therapy Acaemy, NonProfit 501(c)3 contracted with several Universities in Southern California where the Masters’ Program (Behavioral and Mental Health - Therapists) complete their Internship.
Dr. Reeves’ program is credential in California and Nevada.
Dr. Reeves truly believes that each person’s life is like a diamond and her mission is to assist you in healing and become self-aware, allowing your light within to shine. Dr. Pamela Reeves is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT #51463) with extensive experience working in various areas, specifically, crisis Intervention and is passionately devoted to empowering sexual assault/domestic violence survivors during their healing journey. Her vision is to assist individuals in their journey of healing and obtaining an inner peace while living their life to their fullest. She is an Associate Faculty, Assistant Professor at National University, teaching graduate students in the field of Psychology. She is a crisis consultant and Clinical Supervisor for Community Colleges. Dr. Reeves also has extensive experience in psychological testing for children, adolescent, and adpatient.
Dr. Reeves’ areas of expertise include Crisis, Trauma, Relationship Issues, Women’s Issues and Sexual Abuse. Her experience also includes working at in-patient psychiatric hospitals, group and residential homes (adults and adolescents), non-profit organizations, social services, school settings from K-12 to college, and crisis intervention. Dr. Reeves’ approach to treatment utilizes an eclectic and integrative approach. She provides psychotherapy to individuals, families, adolescents and works with various groups, including LGBT, Domestic Violence, PTSD, and Trauma. She understands how to support the unique needs of the individual, the family and to work effectively within the system and its many interdependencies.
Dr. Reeves started her career as a Marriage Family Therapy intern at an in-patient psychiatric hospital while simultaneously interning at a non-profit organization that specializes in LGBT. She also held positions where she worked with individuals, couples and children experiencing trauma and abuse, as well as children and adolescents at group homes that provided services to adults, adolescents and children. She specializes in trauma, abuse, depression, victims of sexual assault and human trafficking, PTSD and anxiety. Dr. Reeves received her B.S. from University of Lavern in Health Management, Masters in Psychology (emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy) from National University and holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute.
Dr. Reeves works and lives in Orange County. She belongs to various organizations in the field of Psychology, is a Clinical Supervisor for Marriage and Family Therapist, Social workers, and PsyD, PhD interns for various agencies and colleges. She is also Certified to work with women who are victims of Domestic Violence women, Sexual Assault and Human Trafficing . She also has extensive experience working with children suffering from trauma.
Dr. Reeves will be offering workshops and consultation for interns and trainees, and available for individual psychotherapy for trainees and interns seeking to obtain Personal psychotherapy hours. Call or e-mail for intern rates and scheduling.
