SEBRENA BURR
Sebrena is a dedicated community leader, education advocate, and founder of INpower the Culture LLC, an organization focused on empowering communities of color through healing-centered engagement and advocacy. With a rich history of leadership in the Seattle Council PTSA and recognition for her commitment to equity, Sebrena continues to champion transformative change for communities of color in education and beyond.
My Story
Sebrena is a long-time Seattle community and education advocate. She is the Co-President of the Seattle Council Parent Teacher Student Association (SCPTSA) Past President 2016-2018 and as a state delegate for National Parent Teacher Association, and she strove to include eliminating opportunity gaps in the Washington State PTA legislative platform. She started her education advocacy work in early learning and was instrumental in developing a Family Engagement Curriculum for communities of color through Best Starts for Kids – Liberated Village phase I. Sebrena has been recognized for her involvement by Wellspring Family Services, the Children’s Alliance, Washington State PTSA, SCPTSA Sebrena Burr Award for Authentic Family Engagement & Equity and the Seattle Central Area Chamber of Commerce.
Sebrena is an Education Consultant. In November of 2022 she founded INpower the Culture LLC as Founder/ Visionary/CEO. INpower the Culture is INpowering communities of color to access their POWER in schools and governmental organizations that impact their lives, as well as the lives, wellbeing, and future of their children. Through healing and healing centered engagement communities of color are claiming their power. Partnering and advocating to achieve the highest and best educational experience, outcomes, and rewards for communities of color in schools and beyond.
