Valerie Knight is a trailblazing entrepreneur, IT professional, and champion of social change, with a career spanning over three decades of transformative leadership and service. As the founder and CEO of The Epiphany Collection, she established the first African-American-owned luxury concierge transportation and logistics company in 1989. Originally known as II Knight Entertainment and II Knight Jazz, the company was rebranded in 2006 to reflect its evolution into a boutique brand renowned for professionalism, exclusivity, and exceptional client service. Today, The Epiphany Collection serves high-profile clients across major cities, including Atlanta, DC, London, Los Angeles, and New York.

Born on February 7, 1968, in Jersey City, New Jersey, and raised with deep ties to Eutaw, Alabama, Valerie’s upbringing instilled in her an unshakable determination and a passion for community service. From her early days as a candy striper to her involvement in humanitarian efforts, Valerie’s commitment to uplifting others has been a constant throughout her life.

In 2021, Valerie founded WMW Consulting Group - IT Firm, named in honor of her late mother, Willie M. Walton, an educator who inspired her children to value education and resilience. Driven by her mother’s legacy, Valerie pursued academic excellence during the COVID-19 pandemic, earning a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, and Executive Leadership credentials, graduating magna cum laude despite facing health challenges, including complications from a bilateral double mastectomy. Her journey exemplifies perseverance and determination in the face of adversity.

Valerie’s professional expertise spans a wide range of disciplines, including Portfolio Management, Program Management, Operations Management, Project Management, Implementation Management, Vulnerability Management, ITIL Service Management, and Cybersecurity. With a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and a proven ability to align business objectives with cutting-edge technology solutions, she has consistently delivered transformative results for globally recognized organizations such as the University of Maryland Medical Systems, New York Stock Exchange, New York Life, IBM, Fannie Mae, CGI, Athena Health, and Boston Scientific. She also played a critical role as a Pre and Post IT Infrastructure Engineer for 9/11 recovery efforts, contributing to one of the nation’s most significant moments in history.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Valerie is a passionate advocate. She raises awareness about elder care and mental health and supports homelessness prevention through initiatives both in the United States and South Africa. Through partnerships with organizations like Black Celebrity Give, she has helped improve the lives of orphaned children across the African continent. As a content creator and change agent, Valerie continues to inspire others to make meaningful contributions to society.

 

Through it all, Valerie has cultivated a village both nationally and internationally as Celebrity Chef Val, known for her stunning culinary presentations and dedication to creating healthy, innovative food choices.
